I’m still a Catholic. Why? Because I don’t believe I’m smart enough, knowledgeable enough, righteous enough, or deluded enough to start my own church from scratch. And I don’t think anybody else is (or was) either.
“Why do we end up following Christ, those of us who do? Some say it’s your family, it’s your background. Sure, all that contributes. But at some point, we found that Voice compelling. At some level we said that’s the Voice I’m going to follow. And that’s the Christian life.” —Bp Robert Barron
“Jesus did not say, ‘You will never have a rough passage, you will never be over-strained, you will never feel uncomfortable,’ but he did say, ‘You will never be overcome.’” —Julian of Norwich
I might as well say it. Yes, I use Linux. I have for 20 years now, and I’ve never looked back.
If I get to heaven, I expect to be surprised by who’s there and who’s not.
